Bristol-based poet and author

Welcome to my website.

As a lover of words, I read and write poetry and prose in all shapes and sizes. Many of my poems and short stories have been published, both on-line and in newspapers and magazines.
In 2007 We’ll Meet Again was runner-up in the Saturday Times Halloween Ghost story competition, and in 2008 My father won the Sunday Telegraph/Rose Theatre Poetry for Performance competition.

In August 2012 my first novel Time out of Mind was published as an ebook (for Kindle, and more recently Kobo) by ThornBerry Publishing. It is also available as a paperback – from Amazon, for example.

In August 2013 my first poetry collection The Last Green Field was published by Indigo Dreams. Click here to hear me reading some of my poems on the radio.

October 2013 saw the publication of Unchained, a collection of short stories and poems which includes some of mine.

Please have a look round.

Zebra, crossing

Up the path he runs,

the zebra,

beating a tattoo,

hooves the colour of chocolate.

I open the door,

step into the ripple, the rattle of his tattoo,

chocolate stripes writing

a path to the heart of

the zebra,

the door into bone.
